I am taking this class because I am interested in the intersection of computers and society, particularly as it applies to our concepts of culture, art and narrative. As a humanities informatics student, it is more common to stidy how computers can aid or support the study of the humanities; it is a refreshing change to turn the humanities skills back on the computer as object itself.
